Narrative
ALBERT L GORDEN, 78, a veteran of the Spanish-American War who lived here most of his life, died this morning in the Veterans Home at Grand Rapids, Mich. Funeral services will be a 1:30 p.m. Thursday in the chapel at the Veterans Home and burial will be to the Veterans Cemetery there. Mr. Gorden was born in Coldwater, Mich., Oct. 26, 1878, the son of Glathia and Maria Gorden, pioneer residents of this city. His wife, Effie, died Dec. 3, 1956. Surviving are a daughter, Mrs. Lawrence Hafercamp, La Porte, five grandchildren, a sister, Mrs. Daisy Valentine, 219 E Fifth St., and 19 nieces and nephews.
