Narrative
There's my sister, Jeanne Brandenburg. I've tried to "pick her brain" but she doesn't seem to remember much. She did tell me that going to visit Grandma Virgie was different than our other grandparents. Apparently, she was not one to sit around alot and talk! I did hear that she was still working in the cotton fields when she was in her 80's. When she was asked why she still worked so hard, she said because she still could! Grandma Virgie died when I was small so I don't have any memories of her. There is one thing I wonder about. I remember as a small child that I was sitting in someone's lap and I would play with the fuzzy dots on their dotted swiss dress. Grandma Virgie is wearing a pink dotted swiss dress in one of the pictures on her memorial so I wonder if that memory is from her? When I get to heaven, I'm going to have alot of questions for these relatives! - Jayne Gillen
