Narrative
Mary Z. "Polly" (Agnew) Westbrook
Westbrook - Sister Mary Z. Westbrook was born in Edgefield district S.C., October 20, 1813; came to Texas forty-four years ago and settled in Navarro county. After a long and painful illness she died in sight of heaven may 25, 1896, aged eighty-two years, seven months and five days. She was converted and joined the Church at fourteen years of age. She has been a subscriber to the Texas Christian Advocate since its publication. She was faithful through near three score and ten years and God took her home. She leaves five living children -- one of whom is a faithful steward in the Methodist Church -- thirty-five grandchildren and twenty-six great-grandchildren. Many others have passed on before her. God grant that all her children may follow her.
