In the Court of Ordinary

To H. K. Boyd Esquire, Ordinary in and for the District of Newberry.

The petition of John Mathis showeth that Silas Marchant departed this life intestate on the 4th day February 1850, having his domicile in the District aforesaid, leaving a small personal Estate, and as his heirs and next of kin his widow and seven children - Almenia, Martha (now wife of John Harp), Harriet wife of [illegible] West, Sampson C., Thomas, David & Nicholas - the two latter are infants.

Wherefore your petioner prays that you will grant unto him letters of administration of aforesaid estate of said intestate. And your petioner will ever pray.
